Low-dose CT scanner becomes operational

Together with the Minister of Science Sanja Damjanović, and the Director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro Jevto Eraković, the President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović has officially put into operation a low-dose CT scanner, a state-of-the-art diagnostic device worth EUR 592,000.

Namely, the current cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency from Vienna has included the project of improvement of CT diagnostics for children in Montenegro through the implementation of total project activities worth more than EUR 4 million, of which almost two million in medicine. The joint investment of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Government of Montenegro – Ministry of Science in the amount of EUR 206,000, confirmed the full commitment to care and protection of health of the youngest patients.

On the occasion, President Đukanović visited the Cabinet for MRI, which is equipped with magnetic resonance – a donation from business community of the UAE, the Cabinet for Ret Camera, and had a meeting with representatives of the Clinical Centre, which was also attended by Minister Damjanović and Director Eraković, as well as by President of the Board of Directors Nermin Abdić, Medical Director Marina Ratković, head of the medical staff of NCT Ranko Lazović and Director of the Health Fund Sead Čirgić.
